We have all had that “Is this going to last forever?” feeling the morning after a night out. When you’re suffering from the symptoms of a nasty hangover, it’s hard to imagine anything worse. How long until you feel relief? Hours? Days? Is that even possible?
People experience hangovers differently, and symptoms (as well as their severity) can vary from person to person, but here are some of the most common:
• Pounding headaches
How long these symptoms last will be affected by a few different factors. First and foremost, how much you had to drink last night. We probably don’t need to tell you that more alcohol leads to a more severe hangover, and more severe hangovers tend to last longer than mild ones.
It’s also important to prepare your body for alcohol before the night begins. Most of us learned this lesson in college, but we’ll go ahead and repeat it for you now – never drink on an empty stomach. Aside from the fact that you’ll feel the effects much quicker it can also be very damaging to your stomach lining.
There are some factors that are simply almost impossible to avoid. For example, let’s say you’re prone to migraines. It’s pretty likely that your hangovers will naturally be more severe simply because one of the most common symptoms is something your body is already very used to experiencing. In these scenarios, alcohol can become a trigger for an already present issue.
Another important note is that certain medications do not mix well with alcohol. While it’s perfectly safe to drink on these medications, they do interfere with your body’s ability to metabolize alcohol. Some of the common types of medications that have been known to have this effect are:
• Antianxiety medications
• Antidepression medications
• Various antibiotics
And now, the one we all know about, but would rather ignore.
As we age, we lose some of the ability to “bounce back” that we might have enjoyed in our college years and our early twenties.
The good news is, we’ve been there. And we didn’t like how it felt. That’s why we developed Fewer Regrets! You can learn a little bit more about our product here. Give it a shot and wake up tomorrow morning with Fewer Regrets.
