Ask any casual drinker what they believe is an essential component of a well-stocked bar (besides alcohol) it would be orange juice.  Its such a versatile mixer, and it proves its worth especially when using ‘cheap’ brands of alcohol.

Looking to make some easy but delicious cocktails for something different?

If you’re not a cocktail connoisseur, don’t fret - making mixed drinks with orange juice couldn’t be easier.

In fact, we’re going to give you our 3 top recipes for mixed drinks using orange juice.  There’s a good chance you’ll have most of these ingredients lying around already - no need for the top-shelf booze!

To kick off the list, we need to include an old tried-and-tested, but faithful cocktail.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or completely new to the cocktail game, you would have heard of a screwdriver.  It would have to be one of the easiest mixed drinks to make.  Simply add vodka and orange juice. Simple, right?

However, if you want to shake things up a bit, we have some variations here for you to try:

  • Flavored vodka – citrus, cucumber, vanilla, rosemary-strawberry. Allow yourself to experiment with this one!

  • Add some club soda and ginger ale to orange juice, or sparkling wine.

  • Before adding your vodka and juice, muddle some fresh fruit of your choice into the bottom of the glass – kiwi, peach, lime, strawberry. Add whatever you have on hand!
